Hi, <<First Name>>!

On July 6, I mailed out 732 invitations to alumni and friends of Ramona's Class of 1970, announcing our (50 + 1)-year reunion activities in Riverside the weekend of October 8-10 (that's about two and a half months away from today). In this email, I'm going to provide advice on what next steps you can take with regard to this reunion, based upon you answers to a couple of questions.

1. Did you receive your invitation in the mail?
(Yes, skip to the next question. No, continue below.)

If not, you were either already on the "Missing/Lost Alumni" list, you're not one of the 1177 alumni or friends of the Class of 1970 in my database, you live outside the US, or your invitation was returned to me as undeliverable, meaning you probably moved sometime in the recent past and didn't let me know. In any of those cases, here's what you need to do:
  1. Reply to this e-mail with your current mailing address and telephone number.
  2. Download copies of the invitation letter and the reunion mailing packet to see what you missed.
2. Do you plan to attend the main Saturday reunion event?
(No or uncertain, skip to the next question. Yes, continue below.)

I've created an RSVP list for the main reunion event, and will update it generally every evening after I've checked the mail and tallied up the new reservation forms and payments. If you're in the "Yes" category, the best thing you can do is encourage others whose names aren't on the list to get off the fence and attend! If your name is in the "No" category, let me know I made a mistake. If you sent your reservation and payment but you're not on the list, be patient and wait a few days (or email me and let me know of your concern), and your name will eventually show up. As of last night, there were 29 alumni and guests attending so far, and 19 confirmed non-participants for the Saturday night reunion. Maximum capacity at the Elks Lodge venue is 125 guests.

If you haven't sent in your reservation form and payment, you have a little less than six weeks until the ticket prices go up after September 1, so don't wait too long to act. There are three ways to get your reservation information and payment to me:
  1. By US mail, sending the paper Reservation Form and paying by check.
  2. Online using Zelle to make a direct transfer of funds from your bank account to the reunion bank account.
  3. Online using a credit card to pay a slightly higher price that includes the credit card transaction fee.
3. You're not planning to attend, right?
(Yes, continue below. No or uncertain, skip to the final section.)

I never intend to shame anyone on the decision they make... my goal is simply to encourage people to attend if that is their desire. If you really don't want to or are otherwise unable to attend, there are still a couple of things that you can do that will benefit everybody, and it doesn't require a lot of effort on your part.
  1. Make sure I have your name in the "No" portion of the frequently updated RSVP list. If not, let me know!
  2. Fill out the first page of the online Reservation Form with your contact information and brief biographical information, then indicate that you're not attending any reunion events. Your information will appear in a printed program handed out to everyone who attends the Saturday reunion event, and they'll be able to see what you're been up to, even if you're not there.
  3. A PDF copy of this program will be included on the CD with the Bio/Address Book and Photos that will be available sometime after the reunion - you don't have to attend to receive this. Simply go here to pre-order the CD.
  4. Mail or email me a recent photo of yourself for inclusion in the Photo Memory portion of the CD as one of those "unable to attend" the reunion. We'll all appreciate it!
4. So, what's left?

If after all this, you're still undecided, send me an email explaining why. Let me know if I can help put you in touch with a fellow alumni or perhaps provide some financial assistance. I want to make sure that everyone has an opportunity to attend if we can remove obstacles that are preventing you from doing so.

By the way, welcome to the new subscribers who joined this email list in response to receiving the reunion invitation in the mail! I'll send out another email in about a month, just before the ticket prices go up. In the meantime, feel free to explore the Ramona Class of 1970 website, and let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
