UNEMPLOYMENT PLAYS INTO THE HANDS OF INSURRECTION
The national debate around the causes of the attempted insurrection continues with the focus on political forces manipulating poverty, unemployment, disparity in wealth, criminality and hopelessness. The church and other faiths are responding with relief for the marginalised who have been impacted. As Izenzo we want to continue focussing on addressing the longer term challenge of unemployment and a Biblical just economy. There is something you and your church can do.
We urge you to go to our website, read our previous newsletters, access our Job Club Manual and other resources. Then link up with and pray with other concerned church members. God through His Holy Spirit will lead you. We can help you. All we ask is that you consider the cost of discipleship in this area of ministry and work hard at getting your church leadership on board. Read on to hear and see what others are doing.
In our last letter, earlier this month, we looked at Izenzo’s developing partnerships with National Organisations and with Nahoon Community Outreach (NCO) in Buffalo City (East London). Today's newsletter will explore the work that has developed in Gqebera (formerly known as Port Elizabeth). May these stories build hope in your hearts as we continue to work with churches battling unemployment in South Africa.
