So Much New Work to Show!

If only we had a bigger gallery; we've had a great week receiving new work from various artists, we'll highlight some on this newsletter, but if there's work you'd like to see by a favourite artists, please contact us and we'll see if we can help you, and if possible, send you more images.

Suzanne Lawrence

Suzanne has been out on her local patch capturing the mood of the marsh and sea. This new vibrant collection should resonate with anyone familiar with this particular stretch of the North Norfolk coastline.

Meg Foster

We're looking forward to working once again with this incredible artist. Meg's been a little distracted of late as she's one of the volunteers jabbing our arms with vaccines. But after taking a break from painting, Meg is definitely back and working on new environment/folk inspired collections. Meg's work is very much about technique, these works have a sculptural feel as she layers pigment and wax and scrapes back to the specially made birch panels. The blend of cold waxes, natural pigments and resins really are something you'll need to see and touch to appreciate fully.
What Do You See, mixed media with cold wax on panel, 90x100cm, £2,450
Hind's Feet, mixed media with cold wax on panel, 60x70cm, £1850
Deep Calls to Deep, mixed media with cold wax on panel, 60x70 cm, £1850
below: On The Horizon I & II, mixed media with cold wax on panel, 12.5x60cm + 10x50cm  £393/£325

Jo Lawrence

These beautiful, timeless canvases have a mesmeric feel, with the methodical building of glazes and pigment, this technique is impossible to capture on film. As well as these large pieces, Jo has delivered 4 smaller paintings, Saltwater Kiss for example,  which you can see on her webpage.
Hold On My Heart, mixed media on canvas, framed 100x120cm, Jo Lawrence
Billow & Breeze, mixed media on canvas, 93x93cm, Jo Lawrence
Exodus, mixed media on canvas, framed 120x0120cm, Jo Lawrence

We've just heard Daniel is sending will be sending us a new batch of North Norfolk paintings at the end of the month. We've got quite a waiting list for Daniel, so do contact us if there's something here you like. As well as Daniel's unique landscapes, he is also well known for his bird paintings.

Big Bronzes for the Garden

A couple of our sculptors have gone large! It's early days but here are images of the first bronzes as they emerge from the foundry. If you'd like further information, please call Sarah at the gallery.

Anthony Theakston
Hot off the press! Here's Anthony at the foundry with the giant-sized Serenity. This monumental sculpture stands approximately 2.2 meters tall. Just below is the new large Turnaround Owl which is 1.8 meters high (base 1.2m). Next is a picture of work in progress for the monumental Peaceful Owl, we'll be adding finished images to our website very soon.

Stephen Page
Stephen is also venturing into the larger bronzes, we'll be posting more from Stephen over the coming weeks but please get in touch if you'd like more information.
Aderyn, Edition of 6, 135cm high £19,000   &
Paun, Edition of 6, 135cm high  £19,500
Peter Wileman
We're waiting for 8 new paintings from Peter that should be here by the 10th August, we'll be putting images onto our website as soon as we get them.
From the Dunes I, oil on canvas, 76x86cm framed size, £3250

As well as the featured artists, we have so much new work, including woodcarvings, ceramics and hand-made prints. As many will know, the road can be tricky in August, our advice is to park in the large free carpark by the village hall (now with toilets). And if the High Street is too busy, please remember the Old Woman's Lane past the Three Swallow Pub.

Don't forget you can find us on Twitter Instagram and Facebook.

If you'e looking for anything from Red Hare Publishing, please visit our website where you can buy online

Please remember to wear a mask in the gallery and where
possible be mindful of others around you.

And finally, here's a special shout out for Robert and Sue Gillmor. Robert finally comes out of hospital on Tuesday after a 5 month spell inside and Sue has a special birthday on Monday. If anyone wants to pass on messages to either, I'm sure they'd be very welcome!
