All Together Now...or are we?

With the release of restrictions for places of worship, Daniel asks in this week’s blog, how can faith leaders ensure that we are 'all together now'?

As I have spoken with many faith leaders, I realise that conflict and dis-unity are appropriate labels to describe the issues they are facing in their communities. Much of the disagreements which are brewing within these communities can be exemplified in the choice of wearing a mask. Some feel that, with Government restrictions lifted, they want to fully exercise their freedom and no longer wear a mask; whereas others show more caution—either out of concern for themselves or for others—and they would want as many as possible to continue to wear masks. The same argument is true for all kinds of social distancing and protective measures—ultimately it comes down to how we interact when in shared spaces.

Join us for the next instalment of the FaithAction Coffee House - a chance for you to share stories, ideas, and challenges, and to learn from each other.

You’re likely to be facing many of the same challenges; why not see if anyone else has a solution?

Next week's theme will be
Children, Young People & Summer 2021!

This is the last instalment of our Coffee House before we take a break for the summer! We'll be back with more Coffee Houses, with more great topics in September.

It’s school summer holiday time once again! Last summer, although the national lockdown was easing, many children and young people were kept apart due to local lockdowns and limits upon households mixing.

As all Covid-19 restrictions in England ended on 19 July, children and young people will be able to enjoy a more sociable summer – however many people, young and old alike will be wary about ‘going back to normal’. The pandemic has affected young people in many ways – causing anxiety, depression and other persistent wellbeing issues.

Join us at the Coffee House to hear how to organise a safe and fun environment for children and young people this summer

  • What should be considered when arranging activities?
  • How can we keep children and young people as safe as possible?
  • What are the benefits of young people socialising again?
  • Come along and hear our panellists plans for the children and young people that they support – and share you own thoughts, tips and advice too!
