Mid-Summer Trail Update

The CAMBA Crew continues to work their magic, enhancing nearly every trail in the CAMBA system. One thing we know for sure, when they use terms like 'rehab' or 'improve',  the result is so much more -- an incredibly elevated rider experience.  Read below for specific trail updates.

Ashwabay
The trail crew and the machine spent a week rebuilding some turns and tuning up areas along Hot Saw and drainage work on Tsuga Daddy.  Check it out.  Rider reports have been impressive.

Hospital Trail, Hatchery Creek, and Makwa
Brushing was completed on all open areas, making for an enjoyable ride.

Flow Mama
We are working to keep the flow in Flow Mama. The trail crew has begun to enhance portions of Flow Mama: below S17 in flat area with rollers and pumps, Gravity Cavity exit line and two-way bypass, and High Point down on the north side.  They are working through the entire trail and, no doubt, it will remain a top ranked ride.

Namakagon, Cable, Seeley and all Trailheads
These areas received major brushing and mowing as well and continue to be a sweet ride.

Get out and enjoy the trails.

Seeking Public Input on Cable Connector Trail

Small Trail, Big Impact

The Cable Connector Trail project was initiated by CAMBA's former Executive Director, Ron Bergin.  He had the vision to recognize the vast potential of a short 0.25 miles of National Park Service property in creating a truly unique trail experience.

While only 0.25 miles in length, the positive impact for biking is significant.  Why? It provides:
  • an off-pavement riding experience to access CAMBA's Cable trail cluster at the North End Trailhead
  • an easy trail right from downtown Cable
  • incredible scenery of the Namakagon River including a bridge
After much collaboration with the National Park Service, the approved trail now requires public input to allow for bike use.  To learn more and voice your support, follow the link to the full release:
