CGR Recognized for Work on RASE Commission Report

At its annual conference in July, the Governmental Research Association (GRA) recognized CGR with a Certificate of Merit for its work on No Time for Excuses: It's Time for Action - A Report on the Commission on Race and Structural Equity (RASE). CGR staff assisted the RASE Commission and prepared a report on its work earlier this year. The document lays out five systemic solutions and nearly 40 specific recommendations to help address structural racism and inequitable systems in the City of Rochester, Monroe County and New York State. Its recommendations remain key areas of focus for City and County leaders. CGR thanks the GRA, a national organization of individuals and organizations professionally engaged in governmental research, for the recognition.

CGR Engaged to Build Indicators Project for Westchester County

CGR is embarking on a project to build a community indicators website focused on racial equity for the Westchester Community Foundation. The project builds on CGR’s indicators portfolio, which includes more than a dozen community-based data websites. Responding to the need to better understand racial inequity, our projects now include more information about the impact and mechanisms of structural racism. The Westchester project will include 65 individual indicators and feature customizable charts and a Dashboard summarizing key data points.
