TODAY, Mike, Steve and Jerry :

Left the dock at 6am and were set up in the river bass fishing by 610am. It took all but a couple of minutes to have the fish all chummed up and we had the limit of slot fish (29-33 inches) and were on our way to the "happy sea bass grounds" by 632am!
We had a total of 7 stripers in 20 minutes of activity with three being shorts, the three slots and one 45 inch, 30+ pounder by Mikey V of Braintree. The fish was released quite healthy and strong with minimal handling (I left the fish on the deck for the picture and the blood you see is from one of the slot fish I was bleeding out).

While sea bass fishing/catching, Steve got this 30 inch/10 pound cod that I was hoping was the mother of all sea bass. The size average on the sea bass has been "quite impressive".

Yesterday's inshore open boat had a great group of people including "The very popular/stylish", Kathy from Seattle and Westport Fly Fishing Charter Specialists Sheila and Bill Hassan of The SheCast ( https://www.cast90.com/capt-bill-hassan-shecast-sportfishing/ ).

For upcoming open boat trips, there is one spot on the 27th for "The Hills//The Trench" (6am-noon at $150). There are two spots on 07/29 Inshore Trip (7am-noon at $125 each). Saturday trips are full and of the five Coxes Ledge Trips, the first three (3rd, 10th and 17th) are all filled (and there is a waiting list) while the 24th has 3 spots available and the 31st has 5 spots available. These are 6am-1pm at $175 each.
There is also spots available for every Thursday open boat trip in August except for the 12th which is all full.
The summer has an expiration date-do not wait to book! Please be sure to include your name and phone # with all reservation emails and inquiries.
