HOW TO USE THE WALKING TOUR APP

Please watch the short video below for an introduction to the app you'll be using to experience The Road We Came. Once you are ready to start the tour, simply open the app and begin! You can enjoy the tour in-person in each of the NYC neighborhoods or from anywhere in the world through the "virtual tour" option on the app. Your access code will be active until July 31, 2021, so you can enjoy the tour(s) as many times as you wish!

THINGS TO REMEMBER

  • Bring your headphones / ear buds to use during the tour.
  • Make sure your phone is fully charged or bring a mobile charger with you.
  • The tour content is streamed via cellular data, so turn your Wi-Fi OFF, but keep cellular service turned ON. (Click here to learn how to turn off Wi-Fi.)
  • If you are using an iPhone make sure the display is set to standard. (Click here to learn how to change the display.)
  • The tour is completely outdoors and will take you past many incredible historic buildings. Please note that entry is not allowed at any tour stops as many of these buildings have become private businesses or residences.
  • To properly enjoy each neighborhood, we suggest only doing one tour per day.
  • Need to take a break during the tour? The app will guide you to nearby restrooms and restaurant partners to help you create your own intermission.
