We hope you're having fun in the sun this summer! The Valencia team is excited to announce several powerful new solutions and a few updates to existing products, all available in June! Thanks to our loyal newsletter subscribers for experiencing the difference, month after month.

We know this will be another year like no other but we are excited to make this year a successful and meaningful educational journey. 

The school office is open physically daily from 7:30-4:00 PM. Please call (728-7836) or email (amie_johnson@pvusd.net or marilyn_flores@pvusd.net) before you stop by so they can serve you more efficiently and safely.  If the office is already serving guests, please wait outside for your turn to enter.  We can allow two parents in the office at a time with the distancing requirement.  Parents/Guests must be masked for entry. Thank you in advance for your help with this! 

Please remember to continue to complete the 5STAR Health Screening daily before school. You will need to know your student's ID number. Call our office at 831-728-7836 or email Amie or Marilyn if you need help accessing your student's ID number. Their emails are mentioned above.

The school website, on the homepage, has a quick access link to begin your student's health screening at valencia.pvusd.net

There is also a 5STAR app that can make the process easier if you have a phone or iPad. The link is https://5starstudents.com/studentapp.

Next Friday is Aloha Day: 8/27 - Spirit Day School-wide Event
Island Aloha! is the theme of our first virtual spirit day this year. Wear your best Hawaiian or Beach/Surf-themed inspired clothes and send in your picture to amie_johnson@pvusd.net or tag to our Valencia Instagram - @valencia_aptos

Virtual Back-to-School Night, next Thursday: 8/26 

There will be TWO 45-minute sessions offered, 5:30PM and 6:20PM. You only need to attend one. Meet your student's teacher virtually and learn what's planned for them this year. You'll also get to learn about our Site Council and Home and School Club, how to get involved, and hear about what's new this year.

• Tuesday, 8/24 - Welcome video by Mrs. Lane and parent leaders will be posted on Valencia's website. Please watch before attending your student's Virtual Back-to-School night presentation on 8/26.

Please note that teachers will send their meeting links out to their families. You only need to attend one session. If you have multiple students, you can attend a partial session in each classroom in order to touch base with each teacher.
