LEILA SAXTON, as a younger Maria
Introducing Leila Saxon in the role of young Maria, Yeriel Cortez, in the role of young Angel, and Nina Cottman in the role of young Jeanie.
"I think I'm like Maria in real life because we both want to become a mom, but I also want to become an animal rescuer because I love all animals...What excites me most about the play is being a main character. And getting paid! Usually I have to pay to be in a play...I think people should come see the play because it tells a story about their neighborhood."
- Leila Saxton
Yeriel Cortez, as young Angel, who becomes one of Maria's life-long friends.
Nina Cottman, as young Jeanie, another dear friend of Maria.
Hector Espinsosa, as Carl, who had the audacity to think Maria would let him claim his "corner" in Fairhill.
Anthony Cornatzer, as Mr. Burkhardt, the young father who just lost his wife. His encounter with Maria would change both of their lives.
"Everyone should go and see this play if they’re able. If only to be reminded of how intertwined we are in each other’s lives, not at all separate. And to be able to really take in how each decision and action we take leaves at least some impact, however large or small, or positive or negative."
Anthony Cornatzer
