We inform you that in early july, the Central Bank (BACEN) updated the Pix security manual (version 3.3 of the PIX Security Manual), which aims to describe the main technical security requirements of the instant payments ecosystem (PIX).
In this update, section 6 entitled “Secure implementation of applications, APIs and other systems” has been added, stating that: “Pix-related applications, APIs and other systems must be developed following the personal data protection principles set out in the article 6 and other provisions of the General Data Protection Law (LGPD)34. In any case, it is essential that all systems involved in Pix are developed and implemented in a secure manner."
We reinforce that all partners must adapt to the requirements immediately, as we are subject to audits and penalties imposed by Bacen.
