Teacher Conferences
If you need to schedule a conference with a teacher, please reach out to the teacher for a date and time.  If you need to schedule a conference with 2 or more teachers, please contact your student’s grade-level counselor.

Addressing Concerns
It is always best to handle concerns at the lowest level possible.  This will ensure concerns are addressed in a timely and efficient manner.  Our faculty and coaching staff are trained professionals, dedicated to supporting their students.  Please give the teachers and coaches an opportunity to resolve issues at the classroom level first.
Step 1. If your concern involves your student’s teacher or coach, please email that teacher or coach first.  You may request a conference or try to resolve the issue via email.
Step 2.  If after attempting to resolve your concern with the teacher or coach you feel your concern is not resolved, please contact the appropriate grade-level assistant principal.
Step 3.  If after attempting to resolve your concern first with the teacher and second with the appropriate grade-level assistant principal you feel your concern is not adequately addressed, please involve the principal, Mrs. Jeanne Greer.  Appointments may be made through the office manager, Mrs. Laurie McGuffey, laurie.mcguffey@hsv-k12.org.

Breakfast & Lunch:
•    All students qualify for free breakfast and lunch during the 2021-2022 school year.
•    Make sure your child knows their lunch number.

This year, class fees can be paid in cash or check to the teacher directly or by credit/debit card at My School Fees.

Also, this year, when using My School Fees, you will have to use your students state 10 digit number, not their STI number that started with an S.  If you already have an account with My School Fees, just re-add your student with their name and 10 digit number.  New to My School Fees, you will have to register first, then add your student using their 10 digit state number.  You can find this number on your students Power School account.  We ask that all class fees be paid as soon as possible.   Your student's teacher will inform the student if there is a fee and how much.  You also will see information about the fees in the class syllabus that will be given to your student.

Free/reduce fee forms are available in the cafeteria, front office, or online at

TICKETS

This year, HCS will exclusively use GoFan for tickets for admission to football games (Varsity, JV, and Freshmen).
You will NOT be able to purchase tickets at home games with cash.  As with last year, you will not be charged with a parking fee for any home games.

You can load the GoFan app on your mobile device or go online at  www.gofan.co to purchase tickets.  For Home games, search for “Grissom High School” and the upcoming games will appear.  There will also be a QR code sign at the game which you can scan and then pay.

You must have a mobile device to show your purchased tickets when entering the stadium.  These are Mobile Only tickets which means your ticket must be presented on a mobile device for entry into the event. The ticket taker at the game will redeem your ticket by selecting the tickets and pressing the ‘Redeem Now’ button on your mobile device screen.

Football Ticket Prices

Varsity Games: Adults - $11, Students - $6
JV and Freshmen games:  All tickets $5

These prices should be consistent for HCS games.

Clear Bag Policy

HCS also enforces a clear bag policy for home games.  Please see information regarding this at the following link under Athletic Event Bag Procedures:  Athletics & Extracurricular Activities | Huntsville City Schools
