Jason Edwards
 
 
National Geographic’s Jason Edwards has been at the forefront of natural history photography for nearly three decades. His image portfolio ranks among the largest of any photographer in the Society's long history. He has a passion for wildlife and the environment that has been with him over his extensive career, which began as a zookeeper at the Royal Melbourne Zoo. 
Jason’s accolades within the photographic and television industry stretch over 25 years, and he is the Host of National Geographic Channel’s Pure Photography, as well as an author of science education books. His imagery has appeared in hundreds of publications including National Geographic Magazine, environmental campaigns and even Hollywood blockbusters.
Jason is an Ambassador for Tourism Australia and Sustainability Victoria, and is also a Fellow of the International League of Conservation Photographers, using his lens to highlight issues affecting wildlife, the environment and indigenous communities
