Art in the Park is taking place again this month on Thursday August 26th at Paul Kane Park, 6:30 - 9:00!

Bring your sketchpads, paints, cross-stitching, writing - whatever art form you choose - and enjoy the summer air while you listen to local musician, Lindsey Walker

"
Edmonton based, Winnipeg bred Lindsey Walker searches for beauty in the darkness in her Edmonton Music Award Album of the Year nominated this desolate bliss. (2017). Apocalyptic, cinematic and achingly sincere, this atmospheric roots-rock album draws upon the sonic inspiration of Led Zeppelin, Jeff Buckley and Alabama Shakes.

Lindsey Walker was shortlisted for the 2019 Edmonton Music Prize, nominated for Female Artist of the Year at the Edmonton Music Awards (2018), and was voted Best of Edmonton Solo Artist by Vue Weekly (2017). On releasing this desolate bliss., she earned distinction as a Canadian Songwriting Competition semi-finalist with the eerie track “St. Petersburg”. The simmering “Window” also drew notice by winning an EMA for Indie Rock Recording of the Year (2018)."

See you there! 😎

Safe Streets: Proposed Pilot-Project for 103 Avenue and 111th Street

Please take some time to complete the Oliver Community League's (OCL) survey regarding our community led pilot project for 103 avenue and 111th street, as part of the City of Edmonton Street Labs project.

This survey is to collect Oliver community member's (You!) thoughts regarding your experience driving, cycling, wheeling and walking along 103 avenue, specifically at the intersection of 103 avenue and 111th street. We also highlight our proposed changes and provide an opportunity for any feedback you may have.

This survey is super short (Less than 5 minutes) and your feedback will be forwarded to the City for review as part of this project. We thank everyone in advance for your participation!
