First of all, a big thank you to all who have pledged to support our Revel in Your Westcountry Rivers festive fundraiser via The Big Give Christmas Challenge.
And if you are keen to make a pledge, good news, The Big Give has just extended the pledging deadline to 11:59pm on Sunday 5 September.
We want to raise £25k towards our citizen science and education work to create more opportunities for people to monitor and enjoy their rivers.
Any donations made during the public The Big Give Christmas Challenge, running from 30 November to 7 December, could be doubled through a match funding pot, which include pledges from our charity supporters.
If you are able to make a pledge, or know someone who could, please visit ourThe Big Give Pledgepage to take part. Pledges can range from £100 to £25,000.
You can read our Pledger Infoand/or watch the explainer video from The Big Give too. We'll be in touch with all our Pledgers once the deadline has passed.
Every donation, big or small, helps our work to restore and protect our region's rivers and we appreciate them all.
If you can't make a pledge, do please think about making a donation to Revel in Your Westcountry Rivers when our fundraiser opens on 30 November. More to follow on that soon.
Thank you again for your continued interest in helping us to keep Bringing Rivers to Life in the Westcountry.

North American weevils have been released by the Plymouth River Keepers (PRK) team and their supporters to help clear the Budshead Pond of Water Fern (Azolla filiculoides).
The weevils eat this non-native invasive plant, which originates from the Americas, and has been covering the surface of the water, blocking out light and depleting it of oxygen which can harm the native wildlife that lives in the pond, as well as the native plants that live in the water.
Jenny, project officer for PRK said: “These tiny weevils are known to have a really good success rate in reducing and removing Water Fern from waterways, and we are confident they will soon have Budshead Pond back to its former glory as a wildlife pond.
The woman who inspired a fisheries catchment management award for students to be set up in her memory also inspired its latest winner.
This year’s Anne Voss-Bark Memorial Award has gone to Jude Mead, who cited Anne’s high achievements in river conservation as part of his reason to apply.
Jude said: “This has been a once in a lifetime experience, doing something that I’m passionate about and which will educate me for the long-term and Anne’s story motivated me to apply.”
