Headlines
COVID-19 testing

Reminder to team members of the need for us to continue to stay alert to restrict the spread of COVID-19. As part of this it is important that we take a PCR tests if we have any symptoms. At the same time you can also now use lateral-flow test to regularly test yourself if you don't have symptoms - this is particularly important for those in clinical or patient-facing roles.

Historic staff Cricket match

On Sunday 15th August 2021 the first ever PCS staff cricket match took place. Team Aadil vs Team Nicola (without Nicola).

Richard was the step in captain who won the toss and elected to bat first on a flat surface. Team Nicola (without Nicola) Started off strongly, the side put a tough total of 68 to win from 10 overs. In response team Aadil started off slowly but chased the score in the final over. Well done to all members of both teams.

We look forward to welcoming many more of you in the next PCS Staff Cricket match edition.
Round 43... The Chain!

We thought ‘The Chain’ would be a fun way to help us all keep in touch and to find out more about different parts of the organisation. Each week a team member will answer three questions and then gets to choose who will be asked the same questions next.

Last week:
Dr Andy McCoye, Clinical Lead Extended Access
This week: Andrea Hepden, Relationship Manager
1. What 3 words would your colleagues use to describe you?
Proactive, diligent, Knowledgeable.

2. What’s your favourite place in the world?
I’m torn! I love to be outdoors and I often feel fortunate, living in Sheffield, to have really beautiful landscapes on my doorstep. However, ultimately, my favourite place is wherever Bow and Ben are (my cat and my man, in no particular order of course).

3. What is the best thing about your job?
I feel like a bit of a veteran these days having worked for PCS since January 2017.  What I really love about my time at PCS though is the variation, I have been able to get involved with a number of projects and learn about different areas of the business and in some way, as the organisation has grown, so too have I.

4. Who do you nominate to go next in The Chain?
Ziad El Jammal, Business Intelligence Analyst.
