1st Day of School – August 23rd
We are excited to welcome all students back to campus for the first day of classes on August 23rd. As a reminder, our bell schedule has changed. First period classes begin at 9:15am (zero period starts at 8:15). Please refer to the link on the homepage of our website for the full bell schedule.
Freshmen will report to the auditorium at 9:15 instead of going to their 1st period class and will be in orientation the entire first day of school. If they have a zero period, students will report to their zero period at 8:15 and then go to the auditorium. Freshmen will follow their schedule on the second day of school. Sophomores, Juniors, & Seniors will follow their regular schedule. First Period teachers will provide each student with a copy of their schedule.
Transportation
If you need bus transportation, you must have a Transportation Preference Form completed before you will be able to ride the bus. Library Books & Computers
Do you have library books? Please plan to return them to school tomorrow.
**If students kept their Chromebook over the summer, they should bring it with them tomorrow.**

Masks Required
The Guilford County School Board voted on July 27th that ALL students, staff, and visitors will be required to wear masks inside all GCS buildings until further notice, even if they have received the Covid 19 vaccine.

October 13th - PSAT for Underclassmen – This is a great day for a college visit.
October 21st - Senior Class Parent Meeting with Herff Jones in the Media Center. Time will be determined later.
November 4th - Senior Class Meeting for senior items with Herff Jones in the auditorium during Home Room.
November 9th - Senior Supply Orders during lunch for students and in the evening for parents.
November 10th - Senior Supply Orders - lunch only (Alcove)
January 26th - Panoramic picture to be taken during homeroom in the Gym.
Week of February 7th - Cap and Gown pictures will be taken in the Auxiliary Gym during English Classes.
March 1st - ACT testing day for Juniors. This is another great day for a college visit.
March 3rd - Cap and Gown picture retakes.
