Pathway to Hope - Education for a Brighter Future 

Over the recent months, Benjamin, who is in charge of the Secondary Students supported by WkW, has received requests from more than 150 students who have just finished their primary education and are wanting to continue on to secondary school. However, they are unable to do this due to a lack of money, particularly since COVID. Unfortunately, WFWIA do not have the funds required to achieve this dream for every child that asks.

What we have decided, is that with the help of our generous supporters,  we will endeavour to raise the funds needed to sponsor 40 of the most marginalised students. So far, we have already managed to find sponsorship for 8 students.

To raise the funds for the remaining 32 students, we invite you to our 'Pathway to Hope' fundraiser event. All profits from this function will be used to pay for four years of  continuing  education for these students.

We are thrilled to invite you to a fantastic afternoon at Glamp Bar. We have a wonderful event planned and are so looking forward to catching up with our amazing supporters. Amongst the music and laughter the afternoon will include a fabulous live auction, a raffle and a craft market featuring unique items made in Kibera.  What a great opportunity for a little Christmas Shopping!

There will also be the opportunity to sponsor the education of a child living in Kibera. This afternoon could really make a lifetime of difference to a child. 

Jeanelle & Dean, supporters of WFWIA for many years and owners of the Glamp Bar, have generously sponsored the entire afternoon so 100% of the profits will go to WFWIA’s tireless support of children in Kibera, Kenya. 

Tickets: $40 pp  - Ticket price includes two free drinks plus a selection of delicious Oz- African canapés.

Nearest parking - GreenCo Parking at 200 Little Collins Street or Wilson Parking at 181 Little Collins Street ($10 Flat rate on Sunday). Both are within a 2 minute easy walk to Glamp Bar. 

Details of our generously donated raffle prizes will be released in the lead up to our event…so please watch out for updates in the coming weeks. Raffle tickets will also be available online if you are unable to attend the event.
