That's a Wrap

Big news on the farm this week is that we're done with chicken harvest for 2021. It was a great season in our newly renovated abattoir (shoutout to North Point Carpentry and New Phase Electric!), but we are thrilled those long days are over. We raised and slaughtered a whole lot of broilers right here on the farm and yes - Jasmine and I did it all with babies on our backs! Now we can take a break until turkeys are ready in October.

We know roasting up a whole chicken isn't always convenient, so after a year-long hiatus, the Piece-Out Pack is back. The packs contain four whole birds pieced out and shrink-bagged for your convenience: 2 x 4 boneless skinless breasts, 2 x 4 skin-on bone-in thighs, 2 x 4 drumsticks, 1 x 8 wings, and 2 x 2 backs for soup. The average pack contains about 18 pounds of chicken.

Stop by any Saturday May - December for an amazing selection of gorgeous vegetables as well as local organic fruit, berries, and Spray Creek Ranch eggs and meat! Last minute dinner guest? Just realized you forgot to order online? No problem! Plenty Wild has got a great selection of all the Spray Creek Ranch essentials including eggs, whole chickens, sausage and ground available for purchase with no pre-order required. Skip the grocery store and shop straight from the farm!
