  • 5.30pm 7 September - Welcome Reception (ETW Building, Cawthron Institute, 98 Halifax Street East. Nelson)
  • 8.00am 8 September -  Conference Day 1  Physiomar opens at Nelson Centre of Musical Arts (48 Nile Street East, Nelson) & ANZMBS heads to the Cawthron Aquaculture Park (139 Glen Road, Glenduan, Nelson)
  • 8.00am 9 September - Conference Day 2 Physiomar opens at Nelson Centre of Musical Arts (48 Nile Street East, Nelson) & ANZMBS heads to the Cawthron Aquaculture Park (139 Glen Road, Glenduan, Nelson)

*Note: Multiple venues are in use across day 1 & 2 so please refer to the programme for the location and times. Nelson Centre of Musical Arts is the main venue with breakout sessions also occurring at Cawthron Aquaculture Park, Cawthron Institute's Halifax Campus, Plant Food & Research and The Nelson Provincial Museum.

Marine Biotechnology

Marine Biotechnology welcomes high-quality research papers presenting novel data on the biotechnology of aquatic organisms. The journal publishes high quality papers in the areas of molecular biology, genomics, proteomics, cell biology, and biochemistry, and particularly encourages submissions of papers related to genome biology such as linkage mapping, large-scale gene discoveries, QTL analysis, physical mapping, and comparative and functional genome analysis. Papers on technological development and marine natural products should demonstrate innovation and novel applications.

Journal of Marine Science and Engineering

Journal of Marine Science and Engineering (JMSE; ISSN 2077-1312) is an international, peer-reviewed open access journal which provides an advanced forum for studies related to marine science and engineering.
Current IF is 2.033 according to the Journal Citation Reports (Web of Science). The journal ranks 31/66 (Q2) in the category "Oceanography".
Marine Biology is one of its essential sections. Prof. Dr. Magnus
Wahlberg is the section Editor-in-Chief. We maintain a rapid, yetrigorous, peer-review, manuscript handling and editorial process. The median publication time is 34 days.

A 10% discount on publication fees will be provided for members of the ANZMBS upon acceptance.

Marine Drugs

Marine Drugs (ISSN 1660-3397; CODEN: MDARE6) is the leading peer-reviewed open access journal on the research, development, and production of biologically and therapeutically active compounds from the sea. Marine Drugs is published monthly online by MDPI. The journal is covered by leading indexing services, including PubMed, Web of Science Science Citation Index Expanded (2019 Impact Factor 4.073), and Scopus (2019 CiteScore 5.1).  In 2020, authors received a first decision 12 days after submission while the total publication time was an average of 33 days.

A 15% discount on publication fees will be provided for members of the ANZMBS upon acceptance.
