According to a survey from the Pew Research Center, 59 percent of Americans believe there is a conflict between science and religion. This means that many people today struggle to see the compatibility of faith with science. Yet for the follower of Christ, is this a necessary conflict? This week, we consider the question: Is science the enemy of faith? I look forward to being back with you on Sunday as we consider this tough question together!

Enjoy a variety of activities and sessions led by Dr. Andy Chambers. So many voices clash and compete to answer the question “What is a Man?” It can be hard to find answers that glorify God and treasure the people we love. How do the dominant cultural perceptions of masculinity shape how we see manhood today, and how do these perceptions compare to the biblical foundations for manhood? How should we live out our identity as men in a way that honors God, treasures others, and makes Jesus Christ attractive to the world? At our men’s retreat, we will work together on these questions and learn how to live out our identity as sons, servants, and ambassadors of the one true King.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

This fall, Franklin Graham will share the Good News of Jesus Christ during free one-night events in eight cities along the historic Route 66. GUATEMALA MISSION TRIP
October 16-23
If you are interested in going on our October 16 - 23 mission trip to Guatemala, please contact Russ Ewing. On this mission trip, we will be doing children's programs (VBS), women's events, home visits, and other outreach projects in conjunction with a local church. HOT SUMMER NIGHTS

Wed & Thurs 6:00-8:00 pm and Fri 6-8:30 pm
Hot Summer nights will be held in the newly renovated Field House, featuring Pastor Bob Schneider (senior pastor at FBC Washington) and musical worship led by Encounter Music. Bring a Bible, notebook, and friends! On Friday you will also need a towel and change of clothes. Check out the HSN Schedule for additional details. Hot Summer Nights is an open and free end-of-summer event for all incoming 6th-12th grade students.

UPWARD SOCCER
Season starts in September.
For kids PK-4 to 8th grade.
Upward Soccer is a Christ centered program that aims to enable players to build their skills, speed, strength, and stamina. Our recreation league will introduce young athletes to the game at an early age and help build the foundation to excel at the next level. Our vision is to see Upward players develop mentally, athletically, spiritually, and socially, into total athletes who excel both on and off the field. Early bird registration is $100 through August 22, $110 thereafter. Registration is now open. Games are on Saturdays, September 11 to November 6.
