CAO, the Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism and the Colombian organization, Ambiente y Sociedad joined in a panel conversation around the dispute resolution space within accountability mechanisms. Panelists discussed the role of civil society and non-governmental organizations in dispute resolution, the challenges related to engaging communities, companies and other stakeholders during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the importance of remediation and its scope within the context of dispute resolution. Other panels in the three-day congress included mediation practitioners, representatives from international organizations such as the United Nations, academia, youth, and social organizations that have been involved in mediation and peacebuilding around the world. This edition of the yearly event included 76 panels, 191 panelists from 21 countries mostly in Latin America and Europe. For more information, and recordings of all sessions, click here.
