An Evangelism Thought...
“’You do not want to leave too, do you?’ Jesus asked the Twelve. Simon Peter answered Him, ‘Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.’” John 6:67-68
Although the Twelve didn’t yet understand what Jesus was teaching them, they knew that apart from Jesus, they would never know truth. Like the Twelve, if we don’t understand a teaching from God’s Word, Jesus is the place to go for understanding.

*Praise God for the birth of a healthy baby boy to Tom Archer & Shayla Partridge.
*Praise God for a successful surgery for Carolyn Gaugert. Continued prayers for six months of upcoming chemo.

*Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Kahului, HI

*Harold Akyeampong, spiritual attacks from family in Africa.
*Twyla Boswell, James Le Mands' sister, recovering from a fall and a broken hip.
*Bo Brink aggressive, fast-growing, inoperable, cancerous tumor in his stomach. Beginning chemo.
*Family & friends of Jim, David Clark's neighbor, who passed away.
*Family and friends of Chad Fite, Elizabeth Parker's nephew, who was called home to be with Jesus.
*Jo Etta Hill, done with 3 of 6 chemo treatments. The tumor marker has gone down to 71 from 82. In need of a drastic drop down to 35 or below. Would like to be at 10.
*Deacon Steve Launer, recovering from surgery.
*James Le Mands, continued strength. Has moved to rehab.
*Orphans in Haiti being attacked by gangs.
*Family & Friends of Elroy Winters, who was called home to be with Jesus on August 1st."Do not be anxious about anything,

August 29th will be Youth Sunday!
Youth are invited to help with ushering, Power Point, Scripture readings, acolytes or even lead the children's chat. We've also had a request for youth to help lead vocals with the praise band.
All youth who will be going into 9th grade in the fall of 2022 (going into 8th grade this year) through this coming year's graduating seniors are invited and requested to meet in the Youth Room September 12th at 9am for information about the 2022 NYG.
Parents welcome too!
Young Adult Volunteers (ages 19-25) are welcome to attend the information meeting too!Keep watch in your e-mail, regular mail and for Jon after worship.
