Hello Cambridge HMIS users!

I am excited to announce the launch of our new Cambridge HMIS newsletter! I would also like to introduce myself as the new HMIS Data and Training Specialist with the Office of Planning and Development. This is a newly created position and I hope to give all Cambridge HMIS end users the support they need as we address the growing demand for services as a result of COVID-19. Please see below for several important HMIS updates:

Regularly Scheduled HMIS Beginner Trainings Resumed

We have resumed and added more times for regularly scheduled HMIS beginner trainings, to be held semimonthly from 1:00-5:00pm on the second Wednesday and fourth Monday of each month. We have improved the registration process and you can register for specific dates ahead of time here. Trainings will be virtual for the time being and all registrants will be required to complete the prerequisite Privacy and Security Training and General Clarity Training beforehand in order to attend.

HMIS Website Updates

We have recently revamped and reorganized the HMIS section of our website. Please check it out and keep it bookmarked as a reference point for all things HMIS. We are adding additional and updated resources on a regular basis and look forward to sharing these with you.

FY2022 HMIS Data Standards Update

HUD has released its updated FY2022 HMIS Data Standards, which will include some changes for HMIS end users in Cambridge. As we and our HMIS vendor prepare for the new data standards to go live on October 1, please check out our recent blog post that outlines a summary of changes so you know what to expect. More documentation and training material related to these updates will be released prior to the go-live date, so stay tuned!

Next HMIS Working Group Meeting

We have scheduled the next Cambridge HMIS Working Group meeting for Tuesday, September 14 from 1:00-2:30pm. If you are a member of our Working Group, Marianne Colangelo will be emailing you with further info. If you are not a Working Group member, but are interested in joining us, please email Marianne for more details.

Do you have a burning question about Clarity or HMIS? Is there content you’d like to see in future newsletters or on our website? Reply to this email and let us know!

Best,
Connor Foley
