Happy National Book Lovers Day!

We have such a wonderful community of book lovers, the support we have received from you has been overwhelming! Thank you!

We are happy to report that to date we have raised $72,532.00 toward our $300,000 goal! The entirety of the current fundraised amount comes from community donations and room sponsorships! Did you see the article printed in the Waverly newspaper on July 27th about our first major donation?
To reach our $300,000 goal we will rely on more community donations along with grants and profits from future fundraisers.

Our next fundraiser is a $5 Fill-the-Bag Book Sale coming up August 28^th from 9am – 1pm!
If you’d like to help with this fundraiser, you can do so in several ways.
We are looking for book donations. This is a great time to go through your shelves and donate any books you no longer want. We will happily take them.
If you’re like me and can never have too many books, join us to shop at the sale on August 28^th! We will have a large selection of different genres and age levels of books, magazines and DVDs – just $5 to fill up a bag!
Last but not least, you can help us out by telling all your book loving friends about it! If you’d like to donate books, small amounts may be brought into the current library building at 227 Main St. any time during our regular business hours, for large amounts give us a call at (319)987-2925 to schedule a time to drop off.

We appreciate any and all donations! We do have donor recognition opportunities for financial donors as shown.

We are so grateful for the community response!

Since we have had such strong financial support, we are able to jump right in to our building project. This week we meet with architects and will hopefully be finalizing our plans in the next month or so. Soon we hope to have a better idea of a timeline to share with you all!
