Hi everyone
The word on the street is that ADSA social club members had a fabulous time at the Recreate Ball last Saturday night. We can't wait to see more photos and hear all about this fun event! At the beginning of this week, we held our second Success in School course for 2021, with a record number of attendees. Read on for more news from the ADSA, including:

Social Club News

Ball-goers enjoy a great night out!
Last Saturday many of our social club members attended the Recreate/ADSA 'A Night in Hollywood' Ball at the Rydges Formosa Resort. I've just received some of the photos and going by the huge smiles on the faces of ball-goers, everyone had a great time.

Congratulations to everyone who helped make this evening such a success. See our website for details about joining our social clubs»

Funding thanks to Foundation North
We would like to take this opportunity to say a big 'THANK YOU!' to Foundation North for agreeing to fund ADSA social club activities for 2022!

What a great two days at our Success in School course

This time we had sixty-two people in attendance at the Ellerslie Event Centre. Participants included staff from twenty-four schools around New Zealand, 5 families, and several representatives from the Ministry of Education, and the UpsideDowns Education Trust.

Thank you to all the presenters and participants for sharing your knowledge, expertise, and experiences so openly. The two-day course provides a wonderful opportunity to reflect outside of the busy-ness of school life - to share, learn and problem solve.

As always, a special thank you goes to our wonderful members who present their personal school experiences - Edward Borkin (and also John, thank you!), and Emma Ferens. Your input is inspiring and loved.

We hope you can join us at our upcoming AGM. This is a great opportunity to find out what has been happening at the ADSA, and to catch-up with other members.

Don't forget...we need some new committee members! You may feel that you are unable to contribute anything, but in fact, one of the most valuable skills you can give us is your knowledge as a parent.
