OUR LANGUAGE RIGHTS SURVEY
We need your input!

August 9nd, 2021
Dear language advocate,

We are  interested in our collective communities' capacity for language advocacy, and we wonder if you can help us by responding to this survey.
The LACC COMMUNITY ADVOCACY CAPACITY ASSESSMENT Survey, a revised version of the Alliance for Justice’s Advocacy Capacity pilot project tool, consists of 18 multiple-choice questions about different indicators of organizational capacity, such as Advocacy Goals, Plans, and Strategies, How to Conduct Advocacy, Advocacy Avenues and How to Sustain Advocacy. This survey could be also an opportunity for both, reflecting on your own capacity and letting us know how you would like us to prioritize our current work to help you strengthen your efforts. However, achieving a high score in every category is not the goal. The goal should is an honest reflection about what is happening today, so you can plan for tomorrow intentionally, finding ways to rely on your partners that is often the best strategy, and repeating the self-assessment at regular intervals to assess your progress/growth over time.

Thank you for your contribution in advance, and please make sure to join our next free language advocacy workshop - Issues and Impact, Building your Advocacy Agenda with Craig Carter-Edwards (LACC) and Prof. Ian Martin (Glendon College, YorkU) this Thursday, August 12 at noon (EST).

Best,
LACC Team

Note: If you are interested in your own score s please KEEP YOUR SCORES MANUALLY for each of the 18 indicators (a separate sheet to keep your scores is also provided here).
OUR LANGUAGE RIGHTS BIWEEKLY is curated list of Canadian language related news brought to you by Language Access Coalition of Canada (LACC), a community of forward-thinking organizations and individuals in the non-profit, public and private sectors, driven by the desire to make a positive impact by advocating for access to information and services in languages people understand.
