CONNECT represents our aspiration for a Los Angeles where all residents are empowered to meaningfully engage with their communities and participate in civic processes. By the year 2050, we envision a region with abundant platforms for residents to voice their opinions and influence decision-makers. Our voting rates and volunteerism will lead the nation, and an expanded, accessible transportation network will facilitate the easy flow of people and ideas.
Below, learn more about the five 2021 My LA2050 Grants Challenge grantees making LA the best place to CONNECT, and what you can do right now to participate in their work!

SHAUNA NEP | VP of Philanthropy for SB Projects and Executive Director of the Braun Family Foundation
My favorite Los Angeles places and spaces...
PLAY: I had the opportunity to attend a concert with all vaccinated attendees at the new SoFi Stadium and it is such a beautiful venue! Can't wait for more events there.
CREATE: We love the arts programming at the Cayton Children's Museum. It just reopened this month!
CONNECT: I feel most connected to Angelenos when I take the LA Metro instead of driving to my office in Santa Monica. I always bump into someone I know, and I get to listen to my favorite podcast on the way.
LEARN: I'm always happy when I am able to visit the 826LA spaces and stores in Echo Park and Mar Vista. They are bursting with creativity and fun ways to learn!
LIVE: We love taking the whole family to Descanso Gardens. So much natural beauty to explore!
Follow @LA2050 on Instagram to see a new Fave Five post every Friday from an impactful Angeleno.
