From the desk of the Directors

On Sunday we continued to hear short messages from our directors. Karen Hall shared about her journey in finding Oasis. She and her husband tried many churches without even receiving a hello. Their very first time at Oasis they found a real, personal community that captivated them. In a season that might be awkward for guests to attend, Karen invited us to simply love on guests, showing them the real, personal Oasis and let God do the rest.

Simon Hong shared how the community of Oasis came together to support him after his dad passed away. Each member of the body brought different gifts forward to serve the Hongs during that challenging time (meals, a safe place to grieve, pointing them to Jesus.) Simon invited us to meditate on 1 Corinthians 12:24b-26 and pray for unity of the body.

I have to echo my brother and sister’s experiences with my Oasis church FAMILY.  After many churches that either didn’t acknowledge us as guests or prayed for my husband, Derrick, to walk again after knowing us for 30 seconds, coming to Oasis was like a breath of fresh air and immediately felt like home. This family has walked alongside us and loved us through brain surgeries, the births of our children, furloughs, and floods. Oasis is a true gift and we love you all.

The directors continue to welcome any questions you might have. Our email is directors@oasisaz.com.

Sunday services will continue to be on zoom. The zoom link is https://oasisaz.zoom.us/s/199455312 and the meeting ID 199 455 312.

Sincerely,
Krista Helton
