Please Make Some Calls Today

URGENT help needed! MVP drilling has hit an aquifer that hundreds of people rely on for drinking water - and they plan to blast through it very soon. They DO NOT have permits to cross waterbodies. A small group of water protectors are on site standing their ground.

Supporters are requested to show support at the procedural hearing on whether the court has the authority to rule on whether the blasting can proceed in Bent Mountain. The hearing is Friday August 13th at 11:30 AM ET at the US District Court of Western District of Virginia at 210 Franklin Rd SW, Roanoke, VA 24011.

If you are interested in being a witness on site (where blasting is planned) please contact grace@powhr.org.

Help is also requested to call the below numbers and make these asks:

  • Demand that agencies step in and issue a STOP WORK order
  • Halt blasting until there is a ruling on the temporary injunction
  • No blasting or upland construction should occur until after the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) analysis as required by public interest regulations
