Current Message Series

Jesus said, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”  What does a full life include?  During the next few weeks, I will be teaching through a short series on Sunday mornings called “Encounters with Jesus”.  Through the gospels we find that Jesus interacted and engaged with so many different kinds of people.  During these encounters, Jesus met people where they were at and helped them to see how a relationship with Him changes everything.  I believe that Jesus changes us to experience a life that is full of purpose and meaning in Him.  Jesus is still changing lives today!  Please pray that God would speak to us through his Word when we gather and lead us into a full relationship in Christ!  I would also encourage you to consider inviting friends to come on Sunday mornings so that they may encounter Jesus and His amazing love!   -Pastor Brian

Small Groups to Begin This Fall

Sussex Project
We are excited to announce that we will be offering small groups at Baleville this fall! Small groups are one of the best ways for us to learn from each other as we apply the gospel to our daily lives. They allow us to move past basic Bible knowledge to life application so that we can be transformed more and more into the image of Christ. These groups are for everyone, at any stage of their Christian journey. We want to study God's word, wrestle with questions, pray together, and exhort each other to become more like Jesus.

These groups will meet every other week and will work through an excellent study called the “Gospel Centered Life.”  We plan to offer three adult groups and one teen group.

If you would like to be part of one of these small groups, you can click the button below, contact Pastor Brian or send an email to the church office.
After signing up, you will be placed in a group and will then be contacted by your small group leaders to coordinate the best time for your group to meet.  Please prayerfully consider this great opportunity to get to know people within the Baleville family and take your next steps to deepen your relationship with Jesus!

Ministry Planning Team Members

Over the last few months, the Educational Ministry Board has been brainstorming effective ways to adequately plan for the children, youth and adult ministry needs at Baleville.  As a result, the board decided to create smaller planning teams to carry out the work of planning for each age group.  These teams consist of members of the Educational Ministry Board along with regular attenders of Baleville.  All planning team members were approved by the Board and have committed to being on the planning team for one year. We are happy to announce the following planning teams, with members listed in alphabetical order.

Come and Pray Together For Our Country
August 16th-20th

Sussex Project
With all that is happening in our country right now, I want to invite you to come to the church this week as we pray urgently for the needs of our nation, our church & our monthly prayer list.  God’s word tells us in 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”   There will be prayer in the Hall at two different times each day (11 AM and 7 PM) from Monday, August 16th to Friday, August 20th.  You are encouraged to gather with other believers to seek the Lord’s guidance, direction and peace during the midst of such uncertain times.  If you aren’t able to come in person, please consider setting aside specific time to pray throughout the week. -Pastor Brian
