Funding Events and Competitions

National Lottery Community Fund Meet the Funders session (Thetford)

The National Lottery Community Fund are holding a Meet the Funder Session for Thetford based charities and community projects.  If you are interested in finding out more about National Lottery Community Funds, then come along and learn more about the funding options available and what is looked for in an application.  The session takes place on Tues 14th September from 10am – 11.30am on Microsoft Teams.  Book your place by clicking the button below before Mon 6th September.    


 

Business Boost Competition

Awards of £25,000 are available to help start, grow, or revive a small business.  The competition is open to entrepreneurs and businesspeople (aged over 18) with businesses whose annual income does not exceed £500,000.  The deadline for applications is Fri 17th September.  For more information, please click the button below. 


GSK IMPACT Awards

Unrestricted awards and training are available for charities who improve people’s health and wellbeing.  There are two types of awards:

  • GSK Impact Award – Up to 20 awards ranging from £4,000 - £50,000 for charities with an income of £120,000 - £3 million.

  • GSK Grow Awards – Up to 10 awards of £10,000 for charities with an income of £20,000 - £120,000.

Share your fundraising story and win £1000 for your organisation

Calling all budding film directors! Funding website easyfundraising want voluntary organisations in the area to make a short video about their fundraising story - the best, most creative one will receive a £1,000 donation. Short deadlines

Local Connections Fund

Grants of £300 - £2,500 are available for small local organisations (with a turnover under £50,000) to bring people and communities together.  Organisations will be working to reduce loneliness and build community connections.  The deadline for this round is Fri 20th August.  For more information, please click the button below. 


 

Norfolk Armed Forces Wellbeing Fund

Grants of up to £10,000 are available for projects which reduce social isolation and improve mental health and wellbeing for the Armed Forces Community living and working in Norfolk.  The deadline for applications is Mon 23rd August.  For more information, please click the button below. 


 

Ragdoll Foundation

Grants are available for organisations with for projects that use the arts to support children and young people.  There are two strands of funding:

  • Small grants – Up to £1,500.  The deadline for applications is Fri 27th August. 

  • Main grants - £5,000 - £20,000 (for projects lasting up to three years). Applications are welcome anytime, with decisions being made three times per year.

Hilden Charitable Fund

Grants are available for projects working in the following areas:

  • Homelessness.

  • Penal Affairs.

  • Asylum Seekers and Refugees.

  • Community based initiatives for disadvantaged young people (aged 16 to 25 years).

There are no set grant amounts bit the average grant is £5,000.  Projects lasting over a year will be considered.  The deadline for applications is Tues 31st August.  For more information, please click the button below. 


Borough Council of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk Small Grants

Grants are available for projects in West Norfolk which meet one of the following:

  • Improved understanding of different people and cultures in our local community

  • Increased involvement from people who face barriers to participation in community life

  • Greater use of community buildings or outdoor community spaces particularly in rural areas

  • Healthier and safer lifestyles for the whole community

  • Increased participation in arts and cultural activities which are accessible to the whole community

The grants are available in two streams:

  • Revenue grants – Up to £2,500 for running costs and activity / operational costs.

  • Capital grants – up to £10,000 for equipment and building and refurbishment costs.  Funds will cover up to 1/3 of total project costs.

The Redhouse Youth Trust

Grants of up to £2,000 are available for organisations working with young people (Under the age of 21).  This round of grants is aimed at helping organisations to reopen after the pandemic and can be used for one-off costs or projects.  The deadline for this round is Tues 31st August.  For more information, please click the button below.

Jean Sainsbury Animal Welfare Trust

Grants of up to £35,000 are available for registered charities with at least one of the following purposes:

  • to benefit or protect animals

  • to relieve animals from suffering

  • to conserve wildlife

  • to encourage the understanding of animals

Priority will be shown to smaller animal welfare charities.  The deadline for applications is Weds 1st September.  For more information, please click the button below. 


Food For Life Small Grants

Grants of £150 are available for food-based community projects that take part in Cook and Share Month (16th October to 16th November).  Events will help people to break down barriers and unite communities by sharing food.  The deadline for applications is Weds 8th September.  For more information, please click the button below. 


Sustaining Support for Armed Forces Communities

Grants of up to £100,000 are available for existing charitable project that are used and valued by the Armed Forces Communities to sustain their activities and services.  Funding is available in one of two streams:

  • Project Funding Track – for existing projects.  Up to two Full Time Equivalent staff can be funded to deliver your project or activity for a year plus other reasonable cost.

  • Core Funding Track – for Armed Forces Charities only. Up to two Full Time Equivalent core staff can be funded where that enables your organisation to keep delivering services.

Norfolk County Council’s Social Infrastructure Fund

Grants are available for voluntary and community groups for new capital projects or improvements to existing facilities.  Grants are available in two streams:

  • Smaller projects - £5,000 - £50,000

  • Larger grants – £50,000 - £250,000

Projects will contribute to Norfolk County Council’s Together, for Norfolk plan.  The deadline for applications is Fri 10th September.  For more information, please click the button below. 


Breckland Council Green Grants

Grants of £500 - £10,000 are available for community groups in Breckland with ideas that benefit the environment.  Preference will be shown to projects addressing environmental problems, reducing litter and waste, saving water and energy, promoting green travel options, protecting natural habitats, and educating people to make small lifestyle changes to support the environment.  The deadline for applications is Sun 12th September.  For more information, please click the button below. 


 

The Prince’s Countryside Fund

The following grants are available:

  • Supporting Rural Communities – Up to £25,000 (over two years) for innovative projects making a long-term difference to rural communities.

  • Project Village Survival – Up to £10,000 (over one year) for projects encouraging rural community resilience and viability of villages.

Made By Sport

Grants of up to £2,021 are available for organisations working with young people (aged 5 – 25) with projects which help them to overcome challenges and build skills through sports.  The fund will close when funding is fully allocated (It is anticipated that this will be before Thurs 30th September).  For more information, please click the button below. 


Arts Council England Culture Recovery Fund

Grants of £25,000 - £1 million are available for arts organisations at imminent risk of failure, particularly those who have not yet received grants from the Culture Recovery Fund.  The deadline for requests for permission to apply is Thurs 30th September.  For more information, please click here.

Health and Wellbeing Fund 2021/22 Children’s respiratory infections

Deadline: Midday on Fri 27th August.
Funding of £75,000 - £300,000 is available for organisations working to provide extra support to children, families, and children’s respiratory and acute services to raise awareness of the management of paediatric respiratory infects during autumn and winter.

Outdoor Public Festival of Light in Norwich in February 2022

Norfolk County Council (NCC) is looking to commission an organisation to develop and deliver an outdoor festival of light in Norwich in February 2022. The festival of light will safely encourage visitors to Norwich to view spectacles of light and performance across the city & participate in interactive light-themed activities. The festival will be delivered over a long weekend (three days) in February 2022.

Framework Agreement for Supported Living for Adults Transforming Care Project (TCP)– round 2

Norfolk County Council has established a multi supplier framework agreement for the provision of supported living accommodation and support. This application is for the 2nd opening of applications for LOT 2 – Transforming Care Project and is for providers of support to people with a learning disability and/or autism who display behaviour that challenges, including those with a mental health condition.
Transforming care is all about improving health and care services so that more people can live in the community, with the right support, and close to home.
Successful Providers for Lot 2 will provide supported living care and support packages for individuals leaving hospital or at risk of admission to secure in-patient facilities arrangements in the future

 

Master Composter and Food Savvy Programme

Norfolk County Council requires an organisation to deliver its requirements for the provision of the Master Composter and Food Savvy volunteer programmes.  We are only seeking expressions of interest at this stage. As such no documentation is currently available. You will be notified once the documents are published.

 

INTRAN - Interpretation, Lipspeaking and Translation services

Documents can be requested until: Thurs 30th September
Please note we are only seeking expressions of interest at this stage. As such no documentation is currently available.  Intran is a multi-agency partnership which provides and manages access to interpreting and translation services for people in the Eastern region and surrounding counties who are deaf, hard of hearing or whose first language is not English and cannot communicate effectively in English. The current framework agreement ends on 30.6.2022 and work has commenced on establishing the requirements for a replacement framework. It is intended that the proposed framework will, as a minimum, cover the following services:

  • British Sign Language

  • Face to face interpreting

  • Telephone interpreting

  • Translation and Braille

  • Video Interpreting

The framework agreement will be split into lots for the above services. The exact makeup of the lots will be included in the tender documents when they are published. It should be noted that the proposed framework is for providers of interpreting and translation and not for translators and interpreters themselves.

 

Information Advice and Advocacy Services

Please note that at this stage we are only seeking expression of interest and, as such, no documentation is available.  Good Information and advice are core to supporting people to remain as independent as possible which in turn helps people lead healthier and more independent lives. In Norfolk we commission a range of advice services that support a range of services delivered by third sector organisations through a partnership approach. The information, advice and advocacy contracts are approaching the final 12 months of their term and the Council are currently working with relevant stakeholders to scope the requirements for a new model of service delivery. Any future requirement may be split into separate lots based around specific service provision.

 

Application for Adult Residential and Nursing Care Framework

This is an application process for appointment to the Norfolk County Council Open Framework agreement for adult residential and nursing care homes. By signing up to the framework, providers are confirming that they want to work with Norfolk County Council on the terms stated in the agreement.  The Framework Agreement will last for five years with an option to extend by a further five years.   

    

Framework Agreement for Tutors to Children and Young People

Norfolk County Council wishes to procure an open framework with a range of providers delivering face to face and on-line tutorial services. The framework will be for 5 years, with the option to extend for up to a further 5 years, subject to agreement of Norfolk County Council with the service providers.     

 

Public Health Primary Care Contract

Applications are invited to deliver primary care services (formerly called local enhanced services), which have been divided into the following lots:              

  • Lot 1A – NHS Healthcheck Programme: the identification and invitation of the eligible population.             

  • Lot 1B – NHS Healthcheck Programme: delivery of the NHS Health Check (including Standard Operating Procedures).         

  • Lot 1C – NHS Healthcheck Programme: Community Records Update.             

  • Lot 2A – National Chlamydia Screening Programme, Emergency Hormone Contraception (EHC) and Pregnancy Testing.             

  • Lot 2B – Fitting and management of contraceptive implants and intrauterine devices (IUD) / Intrauterine Systems (IUS).             

  • Lot 3A – Stop Smoking service provision.             

  • Lot 3B – Supply of Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT).                

Providers can apply for one or any combination of Lots.
