Give to Impact Middle East
"Messenger" of God's Peace
by Impact Middle East Leader

MessagesAs is the custom in the rural villages of Egypt, Mina did not leave the family home when he married. His new bride joined him in living with his parents and other family members. After living in close quarters, the relationship between Mina’s wife and his mother became strained. They began to quarrel fiercely.

By Messenger, Mina contacted an Impact Middle East pastor, asking for help to bring reconciliation between the two women. Mina requested the pastor visit the home and talk to the family about forgiveness.

The pastor did come to the home. He listened patiently to what each woman had to say. After two hours of dialogue, the mother and her daughter-in-law had said everything they wanted to say.

The pastor felt the power of the Holy Spirit working inside the two women. He asked Mina’s wife, “Do you love your mother-in-law as your real mother?” She said, “Yes!”

Then the pastor asked Mina’s mother, “Do you love your daughter-in-law as your real daughter?” She said, “Yes!”

The two women hugged and cried, releasing the anger that had built up between them. Their relationship had been healed.

The next day, Mina sent the pastor a message (again by Messenger) expressing his thankfulness that God had used the leader as a "Messenger" to bring peace between the members of his family. Wanting to learn more about the peace that comes from God, Mina invited the pastor to start a weekly house church in the family’s home.

Children's Resources
Five short videos and reproducible handouts
Perfect for VBS or Children's Ministries

Meet Nisaf, a winsome twelve-year-old girl in Kurdistan (northern Iraq). She lives with her family in a refugee camp, along with 8,000 other children and their families, after they fled from ISIS terrorists. Through five short videos Nisaf shows us where she lives and other special places in the camp, including the Noor Center. Established by Impact Middle East, the Noor Center creates ways for children to laugh, play, and feel safe again after all the trauma they have experienced in their lives. Reproducible handouts provide activities and additional information for each of the videos. Project options provide ways for children’s groups to help children like Nisaf.
