The 2021 Max Block Food Pantry Challenge Wraps Up

The Max Block Food Pantry Match Challenge began in 2005, thanks to a gift from the Block family, and you have continually increased your support for the program. Last year's challenge helped us serve over 15,000 households experiencing food insecurity! Due to your generosity, we anticipate an even greater number served this coming year. Thank you!

Backpack Bonanza

We received a delivery of school supplies from the good folks at Jewish Community Alliance. Thank you, JCA, for always stepping up and helping out. And thank you to EVERYONE who donated supplies for this year's Backpack Bonanza. Your support makes a successful school year possible for our students.

JFCS On the Air

JFCS's executive director, Colleen Rodriguez, was on WJXT's Morning Show last Thursday talking about the "learning gap" some students are experiencing due to the pandemic, and about JFCS's Achievers For Life program.  If you missed it live, you can watch the interview here.

Packs of Love

That's what was delivered to us from Spring Glen United Methodist Church. Sometimes children need to be removed from their family without the opportunity to plan ahead or bring anything with them. Having these "packs of love" on hand, ready to go, gives us the ability to not only provide them with a few basic necessities, but also items that give comfort - a stuffed animal,  or a soft huggable blanket, and a card that reads: "A hug for you! A hug a day keeps your trouble at bay. A hug at night makes everything right. So I'm sending you this hug to help you cope, to give you some love and to send you hope!"
