A Place to Call Home

I hope this newsletter finds you and your family safe, warm and well. It has certainly been a tumultuous few weeks in Adelaide, with a fair dose of rainy and cold days too! As always throughout this pandemic, we strive to maintain our excellent standard of service while complying with the latest health advice and regulations. Don’t forget that if you or your family members are unwell, we are happy to reschedule your appointment.

While it’s not very motivating to get out and about – and rather enticing to stay cosy inside – we have been busy setting ourselves up in a new office and warehouse space in Cheltenham. This is an exciting move for our team and we are already feeling ‘at home’! It’s promising to be a fantastic space, with room for our growing team, as well as dedicated space for our technicians and equipment. Visitors are welcome by appointment too, and we can also arrange trials at our office if needed.

Please note our new office phone number is 08 7092 4555. Please direct any queries relating to quotes or orders to Heather or Ujwala on this number and don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other enquiries too.

We have a couple of exciting new bathroom products which will be available soon for trial – the GottaGo and Sharky. Have a look below to find out more!

Kind regards,
Simone Fejer

Spotlight on: Walking Wonders

We support a comprehensive range of walkers, with most models available for trials. Here’s a quick review of some of the options – and some tips when considering a walker for your child.

Posterior walkers allow children to engage more freely with their surroundings, encouraging independence in a range of activities. The Grillo Gait Trainer is designed to help children develop their step pattern, train their pelvis and keep their trunk balanced. It also helps organise a wider structured vision of space of distance in all surroundings. The Buddy Roamer is another innovative posterior walker, which is completely open at the front, allowing children to explore freely. The Flux walker is an extremely versatile and reliable walking frame – providing height, vertical and horizontal adjustments, and a great colour range too! Also available are the Nimbo, Pluto and Malte walkers, which encourage a natural, upright posture when standing and walking.

We also stock a few options in anterior walkers, including the bright and colourful Fox & Fixi, Walk On, as well as the Marcy walker. The Meywalk 4 is another anterior walker, which features spring suspension and a built-in swing bar that lowers and raises the seat and trunk support when entering or exiting the walker.

When considering a walker for your child, it’s important for us to assess your child’s ability and whether light to moderate support is needed. We will also talk with you to understand how and where the walker will be used, as different models may be best suited to the terrain or environment of choice.

In Depth: Stand and Deliver

The Zing abduction standing frame is one of the most configurable standers available.

It allows a child to seamlessly go from a full supine to prone standing position without having to change, turn or flip pads and foot plates, or transfer a child in and out of the stander. In one fluid motion, the child can be positioned in supine, upright and prone positions.

The stander allows individual leg abduction of up to 30 degrees in each leg. The multi-adjustable tray can be angled to suit to task at hand, and can swing away from either side while still remaining attached to the frame.

The Zing comes in six different models to suit your child's needs and it has now been packaged to include the most popular accessories, to provide a cost effective solution and improved availability. Of course, all other accessories are available as well.
