We are excited to see you this Saturday, August 7th, at the LIFRC Summer Social!
You may have questions about how the event will be handled, with the news of recent COVID breakthrough cases in the county and our region. Out of an abundance of caution, we are taking some steps to ensure your safety.
We are asking guests to arrive between 6:00–6:20 p.m. Please enter the main entrance of the Community Center with a mask on. Name tags and drinks will be available as you pass through the main hall. Guests will then walk outside to get food and find a table, and settle in with others to enjoy the meal and the presentation. (Tables will have a maximum of eight guests.) A second beverage station will be open outside, and servers will be available to help with any additional dining needs.
We know how much people look forward to mingling, but we believe this will keep us all safe. A reminder that if you have any symptoms of COVID, we ask that you stay home and take good care of yourself.
There have been ever-changing predictions of precipitation on Saturday, but we are optimistic that any rain will have ended by the time our event begins. Unfortunately, although tent rental companies have tents available, their staffing shortages are preventing us from renting one. Please check your email on Saturday; we will let you know in the unlikely event that an impending downpour makes it necessary for us to reschedule.
The event is sold out and we currently have a short waiting list. If by chance you know that you will be unable to attend on Saturday, please email me directly at barbara@lifrc.org so that we can include others in your place.
