Hello,
It's that time again where I send out my random, about once a year, newsletter. First off, I hope you are safe and healthy during these continued weird times. My family and I are all doing well. Let's hope we can all stay that way.
I've been busier than ever this year creating music. Earlier in the year, a song I co-produced was used in the ABC primetime TV show, Big Sky. Take The Exit (written and performed by The Footlight District) was used in season 1, episode 8. I have to admit it was pretty exciting to watch and hear the song in a primetime TV placement.
I also have 2 new releases that I'm pretty excited about. Both will be available on Bandcamp.com on August 6.

30 Minute Sessions-May 2021
In May I spent 15 days writing songs as part of a songwriting challenge. Each day I would set a timer for 30 minutes, grab an instrument, and create something from nothing.
I'd spend the next couple of hours adding instrumentation to the basic demo and then I walked away from it. In June I released those raw recordings along with a companion songbook that includes lyrics and basic chords.

The Tarantino Tapes Vol. 1
This one's been a long time in the making but will finally be available tomorrow (August 6th). The Tarantino Tapes Vol. 1 is an album of instrumental tracks that, according to many listeners, sound like they should be in Tarantino films.
For those of you who have already purchased the sampler version (thank you!) you will receive a voucher in the coming days to download the new version for free. This release will be available on all streaming services and in CD format (with CD-only bonus tracks) both happening later this month.

There are two more releases in the works that I hope to have completed before the end of the year. Say Hello To The Strangeness will feature guest vocalists on several of the tracks and The 80's Called... collects recent songs that sound like they could have been written and recorded in the 80's.
