Building a team for the next phase

Are we still in a crisis? The situation is volatile and uncertain, yes, but a crisis is time-bound, and Covid-19 isn't.
 
We are probably in what Churchill might have called the “end of the beginning” of the pandemic, but for businesses that means we need no less urgency, vigour and focus in how we plan and execute our growth strategies.
 
One way to do this is to borrow from the idea of a war cabinet - a very tightly-knit board or leadership team, that can keep you fighting like your survival was at stake. Here are some lessons from history.
