The beautifully renovated building that formerly housed Dowling Signs at 1801 Princess Anne Street has been repurposed as the Woolen Mill event venue.  Owner Ed Whelan takes Bill on a tour of the building to show its wedding chapel, separate dressing rooms for brides and grooms, banquet space for 250 seated guests and rooftop entertaining space overlooking the river.  Woolen Mill is next to the Inn at The Old Silk Mill.  Information on both venues is available at Innattheoldesilkmill.com

What you need to know about the City’s Stormwater Project along William Street (100 Block)

Replacement of the William Street storm sewer system, between Caroline and Sophia Street, will start in August. Construction will accommodate customer traffic, businesses in the proximity to the construction are not anticipated to experience prolonged interruptions. Access to businesses remains a critical objective during this project.

Go Virginia Region 6 approves funding of $215,000
