Forest Management 


Nova Scotia releases key guides, as part Ecological Forestry Implementation.  “We are transforming how we manage our public lands, creating a made-in-Nova Scotia approach that supports a sustainable, diverse forestry sector that will see more trees retained when harvesting takes place, less clearcutting in Crown forests and greater protection of native biodiversity and ecosystems,” said Lands and Forestry Minister Chuck Porter.  Continue reading.

Daily Sentinel imagery can be found here. Quality of imagery is poor, but can be a useful tool to locate recent harvest activity.  

Chainsaw Workshop

 
We are still accepting registration for a 2 day Chainsaw Course that will take place at Elmhurst Outdoors, 65 Ganong Rd, Erbs Cove, NB. 

The course is scheduled to take place during the weekedn of August 28-29, and Rod Cumberland will be the course instructor.
