Resources and information INSIDE!

Riding on the sidewalks is not allowed in Downtown Lincoln.
It is a misconception that riding on the sidewalk is safe. Sidewalks are characteristically uneven, busier with pedestrians traveling various directions with little traffic control, and contain multiple types of obstacles to navigate such as street furniture and trash receptacles. Riding in bicycle friendly facilities like bike lanes, trails, and in the roadway with traffic is the best way to keep yourself, and others around you, safe!
The health of our riders and our community is a top priority of the BikeLNK team. We want to enable you to have access to safe socially distanced transportation and recreation with our bike share bikes.

BikeLNK has been taking precautions against COVID-19 transmission with increased sanitation efforts by our staff and have been keeping an eye on all local health measures.
As a rider, there are a few things you can do to help make sure you have a healthy ride. We highly suggest using disinfecting wipes on high-touch areas on the bikes and kiosks, like the handlebars, just like you would any public surface. Make sure to maintain 6 feet of distance between yourself and others while riding. We also suggest wearing a mask if you have not been vaccinated or cannot maintain 6ft of social distancing between yourself and others.
BikeLNK is operated on behalf of the City of Lincoln by Heartland Bike Share.
Heartland Bike Share is a 501c3 nonprofit that exists for the development, promotion, and operation of bike sharing programs throughout the Heartland region for the benefit of the general public, aimed at promoting health and quality of life as well as mitigating climate change and promoting the use of sustainable forms of transportation.
