SUBJECT: JACKSONVILLE REUNION POSTPONEMENT
It is with deep regret that we must inform you that the Board of Directors held an Emergency Meeting last night and after lengthy discussion, came to the decision to postpone the October Reunion in Jacksonville, Florida. There were many factors that we had to consider, some were liability issues, both legal & financial. Once again, the COVID Monster has reared its ugly head, especially in the Sunshine State. We discussed moving the event North, but there just is not enough time to book the number of rooms we need.
We are going to investigate returning to The Submarine Capital of the World in early June, 2022. We will be updating our progress on the website. Those of you who had already made plane reservations, I certainly hope you are able to get a refund or credit. This decision we did not take lightly, but there were just too many unknowns with the Delta Variant on the rise, and the health & welfare of our shipmates became the paramount factor. Thank you for your patience and understanding, I hope this notice finds you happy & healthy, and you get to enjoy the rest of the summer with friends & family.
Association Dues would have normally been collected in October at the reunion, We are still obligated to collect the funds to maintain our membership in good standing.
We are currently running a Life membership drive and special. Anyone signing up for Life Membership in the coming weeks will receive a 50% discount. Please check out the membership form HERE.
Meanwhile, membership dues are still due for all those members who are not LIFE members.
