Join Fur Kids Foundation at the Campbell County Fair for our Watermelon Eating Contest at 2 pm on August 7!
Our Watermelon Eating Contest is for all ages (with 4 different age groups) and allows you to help local families with friends afford the costs of emergency veterinary care. We'd love to have you join us on the stage at the Campbell County Fair this Saturday at 2 pm!
The object of the Fur Kids Foundation Watermelon Eating Contest is to eat a large wedge of watermelon down to the rind with your hands behind your back in 60 seconds or less.
All the watermelon on a contestant’s plate must be consumed and not regurgitated or spit up (this will result in ejection from the contest) prior to the completion of the age group contest.
Contestants must not eat any watermelon until the starting signal is given.
Judges will be on hand to assure adherence to the contest rules.
The age group winners will be the person who consumes the entire portion of the watermelon in the shortest amount of time.
In the event of a tie, the contestants will participate in a second round of watermelon eating.
For the security of both our two- and four-legged attendees, all dogs must be up-to-date on all their vaccinations, and wear a collar with proper ID at all times. You sign a waiver upon registering indicating this is done.
All pets MUST enter and exit the pool facility on a leash.
Dogs must be well-behaved and well socialized with other dogs and people.
