On Thursday morning I had been preparing the agenda for our Club Meeting and the AGM scheduled for next week. On Thursday evening ... after the new lockdown was announced ... everything had changed, and so have our plans.
Here's the latest! The meeting we had been planning for Thursday 12th August has been postponed by one week, to Thursday 19th August.
Plan A: If the lock down is lifted, then the meeting will be held at the Church Hall face to face on the 19th August at 7:30pm. It will include the AGM ... and lots of fun, frivolity and prizes.
Plan B: If the lock down is NOT lifted, then the meeting will be held via ZOOM on the 19th August at 7:30pm. It will include the AGM, and a discussion on a beekeeping topic e.g. Spring Inspections.
You will receive an update email before the 19th August to let you know which path we are taking.
Which means you have lots of time to read the attached documents, viz. the Minutes of the previous AGM, and the Financial Statements for 2020-2021.
There is also a Proxy form attached. (There are no Motions to be voted on at the AGM, other than those accepting the previous Minutes and the Financial Statements.)
Of course to participate in the meeting ( and to win prizes) you need to be a paid up member. The details of bank account, etc. are on the club website. Remember to use the information field for the bank transfer (e.g. "Fred Bloggs Membership"), and to email the completed Membership Form to the treasurer.

a) repaired and painted worn hive boxes
b) assembled and waxed replacement frames
c) ordered replacement queens or nucs
d) ordered replacement gloves, suits, etc.
e) ordered SHB traps and AFB test kits
f) made bait hives and a swarm box
.... just saying! Spring is only a few weeks away.
