A NOTE FROM PASTOR CARL
Hello Church!

This has been a hectic week at the church, lots going on! With the kids from Youth Camp running around and a lot of things going on otherwise, I have been able to reflect on how great it is to have a team of people serving at Redeemer to help carry the load of ministry. Aside from the staff, we have our Elders who do so much “behind the scenes” as well as a number of volunteers serving in various capacities to ensure that we can offer Sunday Services, camps, studies, gatherings and do some of the basic sort of “Stuff” that we have to do to keep the church operating. Join me in praying for those who serve us all so loyally and even joyfully!

As we enter into a new ministry season in the Fall, we will be ramping up some ministry initiatives and are looking to have more people join us in service. If you call Redeemer home, I would like you to consider how you can serve this September and beyond. With our church adding some young families, we will need to have a strong team of people join our Children’s Ministry team. We also are calling all musicians to put their gifts to work on our worship team. We also need more greeters, and people with the gift of hospitality to join us as well. In a nutshell – we need people.

Thank you for all your prayers for our staff and volunteers serving the kids attending Camp Makhaseh this week! The kids are having a great time, and the volunteers have lots of energy (or at least they look like they do)! See you Sunday!

In Christ,
Pastor Carl

During the Annual General Meeting (AGM) that took place last November, quorum was lost following the vote to accept the Budget Review for 2019-2020 and the Proposed Budget for 2020-2021. As a result, three resolutions were not able to be passed. These include the following motions:
1.    that the Nominating Committee report for 2019-2020 be accepted as printed,
2.    that the Nominating Committee for 2020-2021 consist of the individuals identified in the Annual Report,
3.    that the Auditing Committee  for 2020-2021 consist of the individuals identified in the Annual Report.
With the lingering effects of gathering restrictions, the Board has been unable to call a second to resolve these items. Under the guidelines of provincial Re-Start Plan, the Board is proposing to hold a 2nd Congregational Meeting THIS SUNDAY immediately following the morning service to table these stranded motions. For members, please do your utmost to attend.

Thank you,
The Board of Directors

"Authenticity is that character trait that demonstrates to others that what they see on the outside is what we really are on the inside. ...Jesus calls us to something more than just conforming to a perceived church culture or an outward image of what it is to be Christian. He calls us to authenticity."

PRAISE ITEMS
A Note from Brenda Desjardins:
Thank you, my Redeemer family, for praying for Nathan! He returned to work last Thursday on modified duty. He is continuing to see the chiropractor for care of his neck and lower back. He recognizes that God’s hand was on his life the day of the accident.  He did have concussion syndrome symptoms for several weeks after the accident. Please continue to pray that his claim through WSIB will be finalized and he will receive compensation for the two weeks he was off work.
I am so grateful to God for prayer warriors at Redeemer!
