What made you want to work at Farm Fresh? I got to know Farm Fresh when I was working for Wholesome Wave (a previous funder of the Bonus Bucks program). The Farm Fresh team were clearly the movers and shakers in the RI food system and I wanted to be BFFs with the whole org as soon as I learned about all the great work happening here.
What television or book series are you into right now? We've been watching Lupin on Netflix (French crime caper), and I'm reading the Chrestomanci Books by Diana Wynne Jones to my kiddo.
What is your favorite Rhode Island tradition? I've come around to loving a piece of party pizza. I used to get annoyed about the lack of cheese, but now I'm into it : )
What are you looking forward to most post-pandemic? Sending my kiddo to camp/school without a mask on.
What is your favorite thing to order on Market Mobile or purchase at the farmers market right now? I usually do a big meat order every few months on Market Mobile to stick in my chest freezer, but am hearing so much about the fruit that I'm going to have to get on that asap.
Do you have any pets? Do they have any skills or tricks you'd like to share? I have a very small, very snuggly mutt named Fiona and she is excellent at terrorizing my chickens.
What's your favorite season in RI, and why? I love fall in RI for all the fun farmy things to do, like apple picking, corn mazes, and such.

Whole Foods Market Supports Bonus Bucks
|
|
|
Thanks to Whole Foods Market for their financial support of our Bonus Bucks program, which helps close the nutrition gap among low-income families by increasing purchasing power and access to fresh fruits and vegetables.
*Get special offers tomorrow at our farmers market Welcome Tables at the Broad St Market & Sims Market!
In 2021, Whole Foods is investing $420,000 in farmers markets & other organizations that improve access to fresh fruits & vegetables in 24 communities surrounding Whole Foods Market stores in the U.S. and Canada, including Farm Fresh RI.
This "Nourishing Our Neighborhoods" program is an amplification of Whole Foods Market’s commitment to win-win partnerships with local suppliers by assisting in providing tools and incentives that encourage shopping local. They believe the success of this program will increase the number of customers seeking fresh, local foods which, in turn, supports local producers and farmers and keeps more food dollars in local communities.

Farmers markets are essential food access points for everyone in our community. We make it easier to find all the farmers markets in Rhode Island, and where you can use SNAP/EBT, WIC, and Bonus Bucks.

These are the farmers markets we operate during the summer season. Seen us elsewhere? We also provide our Fresh Bucks/Bonus Bucks tokens at many other markets across RI!
