SEEKING WELCOME MINISTERS, READERS,
SERVERS, CANTORS & LIVESTREAM ASSISTANTS
More ministers are needed as we continue to welcome a growing number of people to Mass, Specifically we are seeking Welcome Ministers, Readers, Cantors and Servers. We also are in need for more people to assist in providing our weekly livestream of Mass. If you've served in one of those roles in the past and are ready to return, or are interested in joining one of these ministries, please contact Kristine Lato, our liturgy coordinator.
Jesus sent the apostles to “make disciples” of all nations. Well, we don’t have to go far.  Our parish brings young people together every Wednesday to form young disciples.  As it was with the Great Commission of Jesus, it’s disciples - or catechists - who help form new disciples.  What’s needed on the part of catechists is a willingness, a personal desire to grow in faith, and an appreciation of this ministry’s significance.  To learn more about how you can make a difference, contact one of our co-directors of disciple formation: John Schmitt or
Lee Ann Lella.
The key to our Covid recovery is being vaccinated, and it's now easier and faster than ever. Pope Francis has led the way among Catholic leaders in being vaccinated and encouraging that all people be vaccinated as a gesture of charity and concern for the greater good. Here's a link to information about various opportunities to get a Covid-19 vaccinate in Marathon County
A LENS FOR RELATIONSHIPS
PRAYING FOR HAITI
Hands Together, an organization offering ministry to people in the slums of Haiti's capital, are inviting Christians around the world to join in "a journey" of prayer between now and Christmas. Fr. Tom Hagan, Hands Together's founder, encourages participants to choose a "quiet deserted place" and be still with the Lord for five minutes. Those who register to be "Companions on the Journey" will get a daily email with a reflective thought by St. Francis de Sales. Fr. Tom says, "We ask that you offer this journey as a prayer for peace in Haiti. We will ask our loving God to bring peace to this troubled country." Prayer needs also be requested and shared.
Previous reports and updates regarding the process and plan for Re-Imagining Our Church, as well as Built of Living Stones, the guidebook for U.S. Catholic churches, can be found at stanneswausau.org/re-imagining.
