An Update from the Kelleys:
Dear Church Family,
Thank you for your love, your care, and particularly your prayers. We have been on this prayer list for over three months and want to provide an update on Kay's condition. At the end of March, Kay was having difficulty breathing. On April 6th, she was hospitalized for eight days and has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure attributed to acute damage to the left ventricle of the heart. A regimen of medicine, therapy and diet were prescribed. After 14 weeks tests were run again and the result was “no significant improvement.”
As a result, the next step is the insertion of a “Bi-V ICD” which is a particular type of pacemaker. The hope is that this will resynchronize the ventricles and improve the heart’s functioning. This is scheduled for the second week in September. Though there has been no significant improvement to the heart, Kay is feeling better and periodically gets out of the house to enjoy this beautiful San Diego summer. Thanks again for all of your prayers.
-Dee and Kay
