We look forward to seeing you tomorrow for the Summer Social at 6pm. We also want to make sure you are fully informed about the steps we are taking in regards to weather and public health.
As of now, there are no changes to the schedule. We are watching the weather forecast and though we certainly need rain, we also hope that any possible sprinkling is light. We'll decide at 1pm if we need to cancel the event due to rain. If so, we'll send an email with updates.
There have been several new COVID-19 cases on Lopez Island this week. We have consulted with San Juan County Health & Community Services and a public health nurse to ensure that out socially distanced, outdoor event meets the strictest standards for gatherings. We have been assured that the Summer Social meets all safety guidelines.
Remember to bring your mask. Please plan to wear your masks at all times except when eating or drinking. You may notice that all Volunteers will be masked at all times as an extra safety measure.
Should weather or other circumstances cause us to cancel the event, we've made arrangements for a live stream and takeaway meal. You'll still enjoy the sumptuous food prepared by local Lopez purveyors and be able to enjoy the show. Stay tuned!
