Saturday Chicken Barbecue to Benefit Guild
The Thompson Health Guild is hosting a chicken barbecue on Saturday, Aug. 7, to raise proceeds for its programs within UR Medicine Thompson Health.
Meals are $12 apiece and will be available from 11 a.m. until sold out in the parking lot of Runnings, 3191 County Road 10 in Canandaigua. Tickets are available online, at www.ThompsonHealth.com/BBQ. They are also available from any Guild board member and from the Guild Gallery Gift Shop at Thompson Hospital, 350 Parrish St. in Canandaigua.
All pre-orders must be picked up no later than 2 p.m. Cash or checks will be accepted from those purchasing the meals in person.
Thompson Doctors Continue Urging Public to Get Vaccinated
A number of UR Medicine Thompson Health doctors are appearing in a series of videos urging community members to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

Monday is Fun Day! - Mondays I 2:00PM
Grades 1-3. Story and crafting fun featuring Mrs. Ferris on YouTube. Listen to a story then make a fun craft using materials from home.
Bedtime Stories - Wednesdays I 7:00PM
Ages 3 – 7. Put on some jammies and cozy up to a computer, tablet or phone for stories, songs and fun at home with Mrs. Ferris. Visit our Facebook page for this LIVE weekly event.
Tai Chi - Thursdays in August I 11:00AM
Age 17+. Learn how the body works using Tai Chi and deliberate movements, a stable base, pushing hands, and steady breathing. On library lawn. Registration required.
Teen Movie Night - Thur, Aug 12 I 6:00PM
Grades 6-12. Hang out with friends and watch Sonic (2020, PG). Participants must follow Wood Library's current COVID-19 policy.
Wildlife Rockstars @ Wood Library - Fri, Aug 13 I 11:00AM
Family program on library lawn. The Wildlife Rockstars will bring a few live creatures and describe their ecosystems and habitats.
Movie in the Park: 101 Dalmations - Sat, Aug 14 I 8:00PM
Family event. At Baker Park in Canandaigua. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair to sit and enjoy a classic animated family movie! Presented in partnership with the City of Canandaigua and the Canandaigua Kiwanis.

Squash or Zucchini?
All zucchini is squash; but not all squash is zucchini. In fact yellow squash, although it looks pretty close, is actually a different variety of squash.
